Minimalistic architecture for artificial photobiocatalytic construct
Optimized and constructed a bioconjugated system of a redox active enzyme and photocatalyst, driven by sunlight to ultimately perform biocatalytic C-H bond activation. The focus was to design and optimise a bioconjugation strategy with minimal modifications (chemical/ genetic) to the protein and site-specific conjugation. The bioconjugate was then used for electron transfer studies.

Site-directed mutagenesis of Azurin
Overexpressed and purified a redox enzyme - Azurin and its variants after performing site-specific mutations, followed by biophysical characterisation. The ultimate goal was to obtain bioconjugates of purified azurin mutants with redox-active small molecules in order to study the electron transfer between the metal ions.

Synthesised and characterised β - glycosylated serine and threonine. Different peptide sequences with glycosylated amino acid were synthesized and purified. The effects of glycosylation of the synthesised antimicrobial peptides on their structural and functional properties were studied on E.coli.

Thin film deposition processes and phase change memory devices
The project included a literature study on PCM- the reversible switching between the amorphous and crystalline phase of semiconductor, and thin film deposition. During the project, I worked with magnetron sputtering on memory devices- the physical vapor deposition method.
